| Below are the names and addresses of some local hotels that are conveniently located for easy access to the Festival site. Several of these have agreed to hold blocks of rooms for Festival participants and have given us discounts on their standard rates. Anyone wishing to take advantage of these arrangements is urged to do so early. Cut off dates are specified below. The first two are located in the Cutler Ridge area, The Grove Inn is in the Redland area and the others are in the Homestead/Florida City area, but all are within 8 miles of the Festival site, Please register as soon as possible because these rates cannot be guaranteed. This is a new hotel and new to our list located in the newly developed area of east Homestead. It is a little further away from the Festival site than some of the other hotels but there is a shopping mall and several restaurants in the immediate vicinity and access is very easy. Coming from the North take the Florida Turnpike Homestead extension and head South to Exit 2 (Campbell Drive). At the bottom of the exit ramp there is a traffic signal which is on Campbell Drive. Turn right onto Campbell, pass under the Turnpike and you will immediately see the hotel on your left. You are on a divided highway so you will have to pass the hotel and make a U-Turn at the next intersection to get back to the hotel entrance. When leaving the hotel for the Festival turn right onto Campbell Drive, pass under the Turnpike and turn right (North) at the second set of traffic lights onto 157th Avenue. Continue North on 157th until you get to 248th Street and make a left turn onto 248th. The Fruit & Spice Park is now 3 miles straight ahead. Proceed along 248th and cross over 177th Avenue (Krome Avenue). A little more than half a mile after crossing Krome you will see a railway crossing. Cross over the lines and immediately make a left turn onto 154th Court. Follow the directional signs to the appropriate parking areas. |
| None of these hotels has its own restaurant, but many do offer a free continental breakfast. All are located within easy reach of several restaurants, and the ones in the Florida City/Homestead area are also close to the Florida Outlet Mall |
